A&P is committed to all aspects of green building: sustainable construction techniques, energy conservation, and environmentally safe products. We are strong proponents of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) building rating system, and we've built some of the most recognizable LEED-certified projects in the country. Our team includes more than 140 LEED Accredited Professionals who work with owners in creating environmentally conscious and energy-efficient buildings of all sizes. Whether your goal is to build a cutting-edge LEED Platinum facility or to simply reduce your facility's lifetime energy costs, A&P has the knowledge and experience to “LEED” your project. We work closely with architects to maximize a building's LEED rating, improve its functionality, lower its operating costs, and reduce its environmental impact. In many cases we can even improve the environment.
In the early stages of your project we'll conduct a sustainability review and present you with alternatives that will reduce the environmental impact of your facility. Our review includes a cost/benefit analysis that will allow you to make the best decisions for your organization.
A&P's commitment to green building goes well beyond our projects. A&P has been an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) since 2002 and we've helped establish two new USGBC chapters. We provide extensive in-house LEED training to our employees, and as a recognized leader in sustainability initiatives we also invite owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to participate in the LEED training at our offices.
