Verrado High School is unique in offering students smaller learning communities that create a home away from home. In addition to classrooms, the two-story high school offers technology labs, administration offices, 500-seat auditorium, and gymnasium with a seating capacity of 1,600. The campus includes a 4,000-seat football/track stadium, varsity baseball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields and an adjacent shared sports park. The school promotes sustainability with components that reduce annual energy costs by an estimated 29%. Key LEED components include water-reduction technologies (both indoors and landscaping), day lighting, recycled building materials, and low off-gassing paints and adhesives that improve air quality.
