8200 Normandale Office Tower & Parking Garage
A&P successfully overcame complex site logistics and a harsh Minnesota winter to erect this 11-story, 275,000-square-foot structure from footings to roof deck in just seven months. The project also included an adjacent 6-level, 353,000-square-foot parking ramp and two skyways that connect the new office tower to other buildings in the office park. Notable sustainable features include the use of regional materials and recycled products, including recycled steel and interior finish products, recycled construction debris, day lighting and natural ventilation to reduce energy use, and the collection of storm water for irrigation. The parking ramp features energy-efficient lighting and a white roof to reduce the heat island effect.
